課程概述

藉由醫院評鑑來確保醫院的醫療品質與病人安全是一種國際趨勢，病人安全也成為已開發國家醫療政策的重要議題。本課程的設計目的在於介紹台灣和各國醫院評鑑的歷史、現況情形、以病人為焦點的方法學，醫院評鑑對醫療照護體系的影響、JCIA的醫院案例，以及未來發展趨勢等。再加上醫療錯誤與病人安全的定義、原因、理論、分類、常用方法與工具(RCA, FMEA)、個案討論、國內外發展趨勢等。
Hospital accreditation is a worldwide trend to assure hospital quality and patient safety. Patient safety is also an important issue in health policy for most developed countries. This course will cover major topics for hospital accreditation and patient safety including the history, current status and its impact of Taiwan and around the world as well as future perspective. Patient-focus method and Joint Commission International Accreditation (JCIA) will be covered. Definition, classification, reporting system, tools and measures in patient safety will be included, too. 

課程目標
 1. 能轉譯與應用各種醫院評鑑與病人安全的管理知識與模型，改善組織的績效
2. 能了解醫院評鑑與病人安全的基本原理、測量、應用現況與發展趨勢。
1.To be able to translate and apply the knowledge and models of management to improve the performance of an organization.
2. to introduce the basic definition, principles, measures, applications and trend in hospital accreditation and patient safety to those interested students for better understanding. 
課程要求
 學生應於每堂上課前，事先閱讀放在NTU COOL平台之指定文章以及(或)相關內容；學生應參與部分的課前報告以及個案討論；期末由小組以特定主題進行報告之準備。
All students are required to read the assigned material before class. Course material will be provided in CEIBA for reference. Students need to join pre-class reports and case discussions by assignment. The final report is based on a group project for a special topic.
